TIMELINE – GainPlay Studio ontwikkelt serious games – computerspellen met een maatschappelijk doel. “Onze games hebben een toegevoegde waarde”, zegt medeoprichter Teun Aalbers. Aalbers ontwikkelde ondermeer een digitaal platform met de HKU voor mensen in ggz-instellingen. “In de zogenoemde Moodbot kunnen ze aangeven hoe ze zich voelen en samen met de behandelaar en de groep doelen stellen.” Brain-aging Monitor is een ander project van de ondernemer. “Onderdeel van mijn afstudeerproject”, zegt hij. De monitor moet mensen stimuleren gezond te leven, omdat dat goed is voor de gezondheid van je lichaam en je hersenen.”We hebben een aantal puzzels bedacht om jouw cognitieve vaardigheden te testen en erachter te komen of je bijvoorbeeld naar een geheugenpoli moet”, zegt Aalbers. “Dementie leeft maatschappelijk steeds meer.”
